​Professor Ji-xin Cheng and his graduate student Lu Lan talked to Boston University Research about the story of bringing AcouStar to operating room in collaboration with Vibronix.

Vibronix is working with Purdue University and Boston University to develop a novel tumor localization and internal tracking device, AcouStar system. We have successfully demonstrate the feasibility of the system for lumpectomy in cadaver sample. The results are published on Light:Science & Applications, a Nature Publishing Group journal.

​The new IVPA catheter design is developed by Professor Ji-xin Cheng's group at Purdue University. Vibronix licensed this technology for further development of a hybrid catheter for laser delivery and acoustic sensing.

​Vibronix is working with Purdue University for miniaturization of hyperspectral stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) imaging. We achieved a handheld SRS device that could be used to access tissue surface with free-hand. We are developing 2mm size fiber based SRS device for endoscopy applications.
